Life – Film Review

Bio-security, what’s that then?

Life is a rather tense horror sci-fi that takes place on the International Space Station. It deals with the first cellular life-form found on Mars and the crew’s interactions with it as it grows into a fine young boisterous fellow.

It’s a well-paced, well-written story with a heavy hitting cast (Reynolds and Gyllenhaal). The acting is good, the set and effects are excellent – there really is nothing here to dislike.

Perhaps it’s slightly generic – but after Alien you can either never make a film about an extra-terrestrial on a spaceship again or invite the obvious comparison. I enjoyed the film, which I watched on Netflix UK.
